Chili Pepper Onsen
This collection of illustrations is inspired by a Chinese hot spring town in Jiangxi, the province where I was born, known for its famously spicy chili peppers. I enjoyed imagining a child helping with running family business, blending the local tradition of eating chili peppers while soaking in the baths. In this project, I had fun approaching Asian cultural elements with imagination and playfulness.
