San Pablo Library was like a second home to me. Whenever I returned books late, Elaine and her staff were always so kind that I felt I owed them so much! One day, I finally got the courage to ask if there was anything I could do for them. That’s how I ended up hosting my first sketchbooking event at San Pablo Library. Kids had so much fun reading the picture book Invisible Things with me and doodling their feelings. One child, who couldn’t stop crying at first, told me at the end of the event, “This library is the best!” That workshop is still one I feel proud of, and it opened the door to many other opportunities.
